| Uh, con Pierce Brosnan? Non lo sapevo  è il mio 007 preferito  Visto che finora abbiamo postato solo le foto, ho cercato qualche informazione in più: Location atipica per Roman Polanski che ha scelto l'esclusiva isola tedesca di Sylt, nel Mare del Nord, per girare il suo prossimo film, l'adattamento per il grande schermo del romanzo di Robert Harris The ghostwriter.
Il romanzo si focalizza sulla figura di Adam Lang, premier britannico longevo e controverso che, una volta lasciato l'incarico, accetta uno dei più cospicui anticipi della storia per scrivere uno scottante memoriale sulla sua vita e sugli anni in cui è stato al potere. Per completare il libro, Lang assolda un ghostwriter che ben presto scopre molti più segreti di quanti l'ex primo ministro intenda rivelare, una serie di rivelazioni che hanno il potere di alterare gli equilibri politici e perfino di uccidere.
L'affascinante ex 007 Pierce Brosnan interpreterà il protagonista del film.Brosnan interpreterà l'ex primo ministro britannico Adam Lang mentre McGregor sarà il ghost writer che aiuta Lang a scrivere le sue memorie e che verrà a conoscenza, suo malgrado, di pericolosi segreti di stato che riguardano uno scandalo che coinvolge il premier. Lo scrittore sarà costretto a scegliere se restare fedele al suo datore di lavoro o rischiare la propria vita per far conoscere la verità.Alla carismatica attrice inglese - che nel 2008 ha vinto l'Oscar per la sua interpretazione in Michael Clayton - è stato affidato il ruolo della moglie dell'ex-premier britannico, che ha ricevuto un cospicuo anticipo per scrivere le sue memorie e ha deciso di affidare il lavoro ad un ghost-writer. Il matrimonio tra il politico e sua moglie però, è alla deriva, e la donna si innamora del ghost-writer, che tra l'altro scoprirà segreti molto scottanti sul conto del suo cliente.
Nel cast del film, che è ispirato ad un romanzo di Robert Harris, Il ghostwriter, figurano anche Tom Wilkinson, James Belushi e Kim Cattrall. Fonti varie. | | | |

| da cine blog CITAZIONE L’inaspettato arresto di Roman Polanski in Svizzera mette in serio pericolo il destino di The Ghost, thriller politico tratto dall’omonimo romanzo di Robert Harris che il regista stava ultimando e che avrebbe dovuto arrivare nei cinema nel corso del 2010. Anche se le riprese della pellicola si sono concluse da tempo, secondo The Hollywood Reporter sarebbero necessari ancora mesi di lavoro di post-produzione perchè la pellicola sia pronta ad essere presentata al pubblico.
Il film è incentrato sulla figura di un ghost writer, ingaggiato dall’ex premier britannico Adam Lang per redigere in sua vece un libro di memorie. Durante la stesura del testo, l’uomo verrà a conoscenza di pericolosi segreti di stato e sarà quindi costretto a scegliere se restare fedele al proprio datore di lavoro, o rischiare la vita per far conoscere la verità. Il cast è composto da Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor, Kim Cattrall, Olivia Williams, Jim Belushi, Tom Wilkinson e Timothy Hutton. Qui un breve teaser trailer.
Siamo certi che, in questo momento, vista anche la gravità delle accuse che gravano su di lui da 31 anni, le sorti del film (che era già stato opzionato da svariate case di distribuzione in tutta Europa) sono l’ultima delle preoccupazioni di Roman Polanski…ma per chi - come noi - aspettava con ansia di vederlo sugli schermi, sarebbe un duro colpo se The Ghost non dovesse mai vedere la luce.
